Worthy October Causes

Worthy October Causes
As promised – we are making charity easier than ever! Here are the October Causes we’re backing.
Charitable giving is a two-way street.
Not only does it make you feel good. But it also promotes better personal values and moral actions.
Donating to charity and becoming involved in the community of charitable organizations. Even just as a silent spectator and donor, will also create a sense of gratitude and awareness of your own privileges.
Bringing charitable giving into your business can benefit your employee. It gives a sense of community and social involvement.
To help you reach your altruistic ideals, we’ll be shining a spotlight on various vetted causes. These worthy causes are in the form of South African charities each month.
For the October Causes, we are focussing on a charity that gives students the opportunity to dress up and enjoy their matric farewell. As well as a worthy cause focused on food security.
The first of the October Causes we want to draw your attention to is:
The Fairy Godmother Project By The Epic Foundation.
“The EPIC Foundation assists underprivileged girls and boys with outfits for their matric farewell. Due to the costs involved, many learners do not attend their matric farewell. The Fairy Godmother project helps these students close the final chapter of their high school lives and celebrate their new life.”
If this is a foundation that you might want to support as part of your October Causes, follow the link to donate.
The Second of the October Causes we want to draw your attention to is:
Ekukhanyeni Relief Project.
Ekukhanyeni has been revitalising impoverished communities. They do this by reintroducing low-cost, sustainable urban agriculture through permaculture methodologies.
“Ekukhanyeni Relief Project champions poverty alleviation and sustainable community development through complementary community-based programmes.”
If this is a project that you might want to support as part of your October Causes, follow the link to donate.

It’s time to focus our efforts on the betterment and wellbeing of others and in doing so rediscover our own human natures.
