Worthy Causes For September

worthy causes

Charitable giving is a two-way street, especially when giving to worthy causes.

Not only does it make you feel good, but it also promotes better personal values and moral actions.

Donating to charity and becoming involved in the community of charitable organizations, even just as a silent spectator and donor, will also create a sense of gratitude and awareness of your own privileges.

Bringing charitable giving into your business can benefit your employees as it gives a sense of community and social involvement.

To help you reach your altruistic ideals, we’ll be shining a spotlight on various vetted, worthy causes in the form of South African charities each month.

Home of Hope

The first one we want to draw your attention to is the Home of Hope. According to their website they work with some of the most vulnerable children.

“Home of Hope has evolved into an organisation that takes care of children, provides education to children with special needs and helps them to become productive and responsible members of the community, continuing support into adulthood through a working care farm and skills development opportunities.”

If this is a cause that you might want to support, follow the link below to donate:

Food and Trees for Africa

Secondly, we want to bring Food and Trees for Africa to your attention. According to their website, they have an ecological as well as a socio-economic focus:

“Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA) is a leading Section 21 Non-Profit Organisation that addresses food security, environmental sustainability, and greening. Our core purpose is to improve lives and landscapes for healthy people on a healthier planet. We have a large and diverse programme portfolio with programmes active across South Africa since 1990.”
